It Is Worth It All To Serve The Lord!

Mauricio used to be an inmate at the prison in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico, but gained his freedom back in 2004. He gave his life to the Lord while in prison and started participating with our Bible Studies. The Lord blessed him in a wonderful way and he greatly matured in the Lord during his incarceration. Many of the men who come to the Lord, in prison, look upon their time of incarceration as an opportunity to prepare themselves for a work of the Lord upon their release. Mauricio was no different. He was diligent with his studies, never missed services and was always found at the altar.

This past Thursday Mauricio returned to the Reynosa prison, not as a case of recidivism, but as a minister of the Gospel. He knows that I am at the prison on Thursday and still considers me as his teacher / pastor. He is now a pastor himself of a church in Reynosa and is still going on strong for the Lord. These are the kind of days that just lift your heart and make you realize that it is worth it all to serve the Lord.
